Warner Glenn (121)
Jauary 1936 -
2017 COWBOY HALL OF FAME

Warner was born Jan. 10, 1936, in Douglas. He stands 6’5” tall and is deeply tanned from his life in the deserts of southeastern Arizona. A cattle rancher first, but also, he is one of the world’s best lion hunters. He, and his sister Janet, were horse back at an early age and by the time they were five years old they had gentle horses of their own and helped a little working cattle. Warner went to school in the Rucker School House, in Rucker Canyon through the eighth grade and then attended Douglas High School in Douglas.

Warner is a lifelong resident of the Malpai Borderlands Region. He owns and operates two ranches: the Malpai Ranch on the Mexican border and his family's historic J-A Ranch in the Chiricahua Mountains. He also runs a private hunting guide enterprise. Warner attributes everything he knows about the great outdoors and his appreciation for the animals that live there to his father, Marvin. Warner is one of the founding members of the Malpai Borderlands Group.

In May of 1960, Warner married Wendy Paul, and they had two children, Kelly and Cody. Warner served two stints in the Army as an infantry rifleman. Wendy passed away in May of 2014. Today, Warner is still actively running his ranches and his guide business, but his daughter, Kelly, and granddaughter Mackenzie, are constantly at his side.
